HCG weight loss is preventive medicine and an important part of our health and wellness program. Extreme Wellness Clinic uses only HCG injections. Oral forms of HCG are not effective due to the fact that it gets broken down in the GI Tract and rendered useless.

An ideal candidate for cosmetic surgery in our clinic is a non-smoker with a BMI of no greater than 25 (you must be within 5-10 pounds of your ideal body weight) with a good exercise and nutritional program in place. If you need assistance in establishing what comprises an optimal exercise and nutritional program, Dr. Pickens offers successful programs for you to become an ideal patient for cosmetic surgery. Smoking inhibits a patient's circulation and healing capacity; therefore if you smoke, you are not a candidate for surgery in our clinic. There are methods Dr. Pickens can offer to assist and help you stop smoking.

Extreme Wellness Clinic has posted our Patient Medical Form on line. This form is the standard form we ask patients to complete when they visit us for their first office visit. Filling the form out in advance has advantages:
- Dr. Pickens can review your medical history prior to your scheduled appointment
- More time can be spend with Dr. Pickens while in the office
